I had a very tempting email this morning from Voucher Codes, offering me a completely FREE Born Lippy lip balm from the Body Shop, so I popped down after lunch to grab one and check out the sale at the same time.
The sale seemed to be largely shower gels (which I find overpriced even in the sale) and body butters, mostly reduced to £5 – I love these body butters the most of any moisturisers. I know I have two fruity body butters waiting for me at home from my mother’s recent trip to a Body Shop outlet, so I was fairly restrained, and only picked up one in Moroccan Rose. I’ve been looking for something to top up moisture after my Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, and this seems like it will match really well.
The consistency of this is fairly light, compared to other Body Shop butters, but it still sinks in well and feels very soft on the skin.
The truly exciting thing in this haul, though, is my free Born Lippy lip balm stick! I picked up the Plum flavour, which is a violently purple colour in the stick, but a very nice sheer dark pink on the lips.
I’m a big fan of the Born Lippy lip balm pots, and I’m currently using a Satsuma one that I picked up for free when the Body Shop offered a free spend up to £3 at Easter. I didn’t actually realise that they came in a stick form until today, and while the flavours are not quite the same, the actual product seems to be very similar once on the lips. It’s a very sheer colour, so all my swatches were fairly useless. The Plum flavour is subtle and sweet, which I really like – I think this also comes in Pink Berry, Strawberry, Lychee and Toffee, but I thought this one was the nicest smelling. It’s worth smelling them all, anyway!
Get your code here: http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/thebodyshop.co.uk – it works until the 30th of June! I’m not affiliated, I just think this is a really great offer. What do you think of The Body Shop’s lip range?
