I had a bit of a lull in the exams early last week, and took advantage of it by getting dressed up! The long sunny evenings are so beautiful in Oxford, so we headed down to Oxford Castle to take a few pics of my new dress, thanks to FD Avenue! Continue reading
I’m afraid I’ve got none of my usual style at the moment, because I’m pretty deep into my exams – four more to go, and I’ll be done in 9 days! Here’s a really quick glance at a comfy, casual revision outfit. For bonus multi-tasking points, these photos were taken on the way to get dinner, so I didn’t do my usual ‘take a hundred pictures and pick three’, I just went with what we had. This is the most relaxed you’ll probably see me in front of the camera! Continue reading
Before I get properly going with this post, I’d just like to start with a disclaimer. I’m not trying to show off or brag in this post – I’ve been rifling through my jewellery box recently for other posts, and thought it might be nice to show you some of the more meaningful jewellery I’ve been given over the years. Everything in this post has been an extremely generous gift for a very special occasion, and I hope you enjoy looking at these little pieces of my life, rather than thinking I’m a terrible show-off!
Right, shall we get on?
Starting at the beginning with my first grown up piece of jewellery: this gorgeous necklace was a present from my parents on my 18th birthday. It’s an extremely simple piece of jewellery, just a teeny diamond, plainly set, and I just think it’s the most elegant thing in the world! My taste in jewellery tends towards the simpler side, and this couldn’t suit me more. Continue reading
To make the most of my time in Oxford while it’s left (sniff), I did some outfit pictures in the Bodleian library! Well, it’s where I spend most of my time these days, anyway… And it’s a beautiful piece of architecture, so even if you don’t want to look at me, there’s something of interest!
I think that when we took these photos, it was the prettiest day of the year so far. The boyfriend and I took a walk by the river in the early evening, and the sunshine was so pretty. This is the first time I’ve taken outfit photos with other people around, and it was a little weird, but I think we played it cool…
This weekend, I took a bit of time out of the hustle and bustle of Oxford, and visited my favourite little escape from the city – a hidden cemetary, where you feel like you’re miles away from everywhere. Some people might find hanging out in a graveyard a bit morbid, but I always find it extremely peaceful and reflective, especially here, with overgrown graves, birdsong, and dappled sunshine. The weather was so beautiful, so I thought I’d soak up the sun in something summery… Continue reading
Over the Easter weekend, I discovered a new online shop, Cherry Diva Jewellery. They do a great range of statement necklaces and cute, dainty little pieces, and I just had to grab a few bits for myself! The prices are ridiculously cheap – these three pieces were £8.50 all together, but they’re surprisingly high quality pieces, so I would definitely recommend checking them out!
I was thrilled to receive an invite to Crew Clothing Co’s 21st birthday party at their Richmond store, which just so happened to be on my actual birthday!

Before I started blogging, I had no idea the work that goes into photographing an outfit! To achieve the perfection you see in my OOTD (yeah right), it requires at least half an hour of a very patient boyfriend taking upwards of a hundred photos of a blogger getting increasingly frustrated with her inability to smile on camera… Eventual result: five to ten fabulous photos!
Wanna see when it doesn’t go so well? Of course you do!
For starters, I call this one ‘The Awkward Ghost’… Continue reading
