I had a bit of a lull in the exams early last week, and took advantage of it by getting dressed up! The long sunny evenings are so beautiful in Oxford, so we headed down to Oxford Castle to take a few pics of my new dress, thanks to FD Avenue! Continue reading
This weekend, I took a bit of time out of the hustle and bustle of Oxford, and visited my favourite little escape from the city – a hidden cemetary, where you feel like you’re miles away from everywhere. Some people might find hanging out in a graveyard a bit morbid, but I always find it extremely peaceful and reflective, especially here, with overgrown graves, birdsong, and dappled sunshine. The weather was so beautiful, so I thought I’d soak up the sun in something summery… Continue reading
I have a new dress! It’s from a brand called Quiz, which I’m not too familiar with, but I popped into their High Wycombe store while sale shopping, and liked a lot of their stuff. The dress I bought is a dark red skater dress in a heavy, textured sort of material – it’s not on their website anymore, but it’s worth checking out their sale anyway.
Here it is on its own, then, just so you can see what it’s like. A skater dress is pretty much a staple for me, and dark red is one of my favourite colours, so this is a very typical element of my wardrobe… Want to see how I can style it? Continue reading
Friday night was the big night! The Ashmolean was taken over by Oxford Fashion Week for a night filled with fashion delights, from catwalks to workshops, from exhibitions to showcases. Let me take you on a quick tour of the event with my photos!

These photos are from before the end of term, but I’ve just recovered them from Boyfriend’s camera, and thought that it was still a pretty outfit, so why not post it now?
This is what I call my Aphrodite dress. The bright blue ombre and the floaty drape of the material make me feel like a Greek goddess, even though I’m fairly certain they wouldn’t have shopped in Primark, where I picked this up for £13. I managed not to pack the gold belt that goes with this dress, but improvised with the string of beads from my hat, and I think it looks pretty good!
I wore these sandals with everything on holiday – they’re also from Primark (£8), but they’re so comfy and cute!
This is the last of my holiday outfits, and my favourite – four outfits is not too bad for a week in the sun, hey? Which do you like the best?
This peacock feather dress from New Look is a couple of years old, and I rarely get an opportunity to wear it – but it’s perfect for warm summer evenings out, hence the attempt at a slightly more glamourous photoshoot… Although I’m not sure why I decided to do this sans makeup and with wet hair! I love the colour and pattern of this dress, and will definitely be making more of an attempt to wear it for nights out in the UK.
I adore the billow and flow of this fuchsia maxi skirt – my reservations about its being too delicate aside, this is pretty much my perfect maxi skirt. Long and elegant, but fun, too! I can’t believe what a good match the colours in the cami top are too…
