Before I get properly going with this post, I’d just like to start with a disclaimer. I’m not trying to show off or brag in this post – I’ve been rifling through my jewellery box recently for other posts, and thought it might be nice to show you some of the more meaningful jewellery I’ve been given over the years. Everything in this post has been an extremely generous gift for a very special occasion, and I hope you enjoy looking at these little pieces of my life, rather than thinking I’m a terrible show-off!
Right, shall we get on?
Starting at the beginning with my first grown up piece of jewellery: this gorgeous necklace was a present from my parents on my 18th birthday. It’s an extremely simple piece of jewellery, just a teeny diamond, plainly set, and I just think it’s the most elegant thing in the world! My taste in jewellery tends towards the simpler side, and this couldn’t suit me more. Continue reading
Over the Easter weekend, I discovered a new online shop, Cherry Diva Jewellery. They do a great range of statement necklaces and cute, dainty little pieces, and I just had to grab a few bits for myself! The prices are ridiculously cheap – these three pieces were £8.50 all together, but they’re surprisingly high quality pieces, so I would definitely recommend checking them out!
I’ve had these gorgeous earrings for a little while now, but I’ve never actually worn them in a post. They were made by a friend of mine (who has an Etsy store, Katie and Gabriel, but is currently on hiatus) and I absolutely love the nod to fairytale they add to any outfit: one says “Once upon a time”, and the other “Happily Ever After”. For a huge fairytale nerd like me, these are absolutely perfect! They inspired me to round up a few other fairytale inspired pieces of jewellery to show you how I add a little magic to my everyday life. Continue reading
I’m really loving teeny-tiny dainty jewellery at the moment – I think it’s so elegant. Don’t get me wrong, I adore my statement pieces, but some days you just want something sweet and delicate!
Well, the 1st of April means it’s my birthday month! Here are some bits and bobs I’d love to find all wrapped up for me (if I were a very lucky girl!)… Clockwise from left:
I was recently contacted by JewelCandle asking if I’d like to review their candles, my answer to which was a resounding YES! I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before, but I absolutely love candles, especially in the autumn, and especially when they’ve got a secret, like these gorgeous ones from JewelCandle!
I was so excited when I opened up my very heavy parcel to see not one, not two, but three little packages! I’m only going to show you two in this post, though – can you guess why? (Answer is at the bottom of the post) Continue reading
These photos are from before the end of term, but I’ve just recovered them from Boyfriend’s camera, and thought that it was still a pretty outfit, so why not post it now?
