I’ve never done a Face of the Day post before, but I was really pleased with my make up yesterday, and since I appear to have gone up a Blogger Level and gained the ability to take not-awful photos of my own face, I thought I’d show you! This is a very pink-based look, because I wanted to add a bit of colour to my normal revision look (ie, boring). Continue reading
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. I actually own it. Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, you are mine!
Look at that beautiful palette! Even from the outside, this is beautiful. The metallic rose gold case is a lot more practical than the (admittedly pretty) velvet packaging of the original Naked palette, and I love that it has that interesting texture. It kind of makes me think of rumpled sheets, but in a decadent way. Like sleeping til noon in satin sheets kind of decadent. Yeah, okay, I kind of fancy this palette. Continue reading
Um. Between Father Christmas and a little bit of spending money, I appear to have lots of new and wonderful Urban Decay goodies. This is very, very exciting! Have a little teaser post – I’ll be reviewing each of these in detail over the next week.
- Naked 3. Twelve beautiful rose gold neutral eyeshadows. The palette on everyone’s wishlist.
- Ocho Loco 2. Eight full-sized 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils, in a mix of neutrals and super brights.
- Black Market. Six 3/4-sized 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils, in smoky blackened colours.
- Naked 2 pencil. Double ended 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil, to match each Naked palette. This one’s in Perversion and Pistol.
Are you excited? I’m excited!
Christmas is coming, ads and sales are everywhere, and I’m starting to dream of what wonderful beauty things I’d have in my cupboards if money was no object. Continue reading
If you’ve been reading my blog for even a little while, you might have noticed that I favour Urban Decay eyeshadows over all other eyeshadows. I really feel like they are superior quality to almost any other brand, and their palettes, while expensive, are actually really good value for money when you consider how many colours you get, and the quality of them (and if they’re a little smaller than a single-pan eyeshadow, well, who’s ever used one up?!). I love the range of colours, the quality of the pigment, and the quirky, gorgeous packaging.
I currently own four palettes from Urban Decay, three of which were gifts from my mum, and one of which was a gift from a friend for my 16th birthday, which kickstarted my love affair with the brand. I have the NYC Book of Shadows, the Smoked Palette, the Naked Palette, and a little 9-shadow palette that I can’t find a name for!
Apologies for the messiness of a couple of these, they’re very well-loved! I won’t be swatching them all, as that would just take too long, I just thought it might be interesting to see which colours I have, and which I use the most… Colour names bolded, with doubles in italics.
