Just a quick little review today – one of the perfumes from Next, the Milan eau de parfum. I was lucky enough to get this as a Christmas present, and it is a really gorgeous scent that will be perfect for spring. Continue reading

Christmas Wishlist

There’s only one month to go til Christmas! Although that’s still ages, I thought I’d give you all some ideas of what I’m lusting after, to maybe whet your appetite a bit for your own Christmas wishlist…

Christmas Wishlist
This turquoise Zara dress caught my eye while I was shopping with a friend, and I’ve not been able to get it out of my head since then! Surely I need a new Christmas party dress, no?
I’ve been lusting after these black suede Oasis boots for a few months now – I think they’d go so well with so many wintery outfits, and would be a great way to glam up a jumper-skirt-and-wooly-tights ensemble for those inevitable upcoming smart-casual Christmas events…
As you should probably know by now, I’m a sucker for a good scarf, and this pretty oyster pink one from Next has got just enough sparkle to make you feel like you’re in a winter wonderland. It might not be the warmest scarf around, but it doesn’t half look pretty!
One of my favourite perfumes is Nina by Nina Ricci, but it’s very much a summer scent. That’s where Nina L’Elixir perfume comes in: it warms up the sugary-sweet original Nina scent with red berries and amber, and makes it that bit more wintry and magical.
These gorgeous baroque earrings from New Look are actually a bit of cheat, since I already own them, but I think that they’d add the perfect bit of understated glamour to this dress, with the baroque detailing around the neckline.
What’s on your Christmas list?

I ♥ Next!

I was recently invited to attend the Next Blogger Network Workshop in London, which sounded like it was going to be an amazing day, with tons of good information about blogging and a chance to meet some other awesome fashion bloggers. Unfortunately, I was struck down with the dreaded lurgy the night before the workshop, and couldn’t go. I was absolutely gutted to miss out on what I’m sure was a brilliant day.

I was stunned, however, at the sweet response I had from Gemma Glover, one of the organisers of the day, who said she would send me out a goody bag to make up for me missing the event! I was really touched that they’d take the time to do that, even though I couldn’t make the event, and very impressed with the huge parcel that turned up a few days later…  Continue reading

A Great Sprawling Haul: Part Two

This time, spring clothing and ball gowns! …plus one more little beauty buy. I can’t help myself!

This weather is driving me mad – it’s cold, but it’s spring! I’m ready to move on with my wardrobe, but reluctant to do a huge shopping trip just in case it never gets warm again.

Without further ado, then, here is what I bought to ease me into April dressing. The first three items I bought are from H&M in High Wycombe – does anyone else find that some branches are full of things you love, while you can’t find anything in others? I never find anything I like in Reading’s H&M, but the High Wycombe one is a treasure trove for me! I’ve tried to find these items on the website to link for you, but it is a nightmare with no search function, so I’ve only been partially successful.
