Review: Fake Don’t Bake Fake Natural Look Tanning Cream*

A fact for you: I am very, very pale.

When I was younger, I was totally nut-brown, but as I’ve grown up, I’ve had to accept that I’ve become a pale ghosty. I actually quite like it, but that doesn’t stop me experimenting from time to time with fake tan, to try and lose some of that Tippex glow on my legs.

It rarely works – so how did the Fake Don’t Bake Natural Tanning Cream* fare?

Review: Caudalie Miel de Vigne Hand Cream* and Nourishing Body Lotion*

Just a quick little review for you today, of some lovely Caudalie bits that I was lucky enough to receive in my #Oxmeet goody bag. I know, I keep going on about #Oxmeet, but it was such an amazing day, and I’ve never seen such generosity from brands! I was particularly excited to get to try the Caudalie Miel de Vigne Hand and Nail Cream*, and the Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion*, because I’d heard so much about the brand on other people’s blogs. Suffice to say, I now understand what all the hype is about! Continue reading

Review: Nip + Fab Circulation Fix Body Scrub*

I always approach new body scrubs with a bit of trepidation, because so many of them are disappointingly weak and un-scrubby. There was no need to fear in the case of this Nip + Fab Circulation Fix Body Scrub*, though, because it is actually a good scrubby scrub!

Nails of the Day: Topshop Nail Polish in Hot Spot*

Would you believe I’ve never tried anything from Topshop’s beauty range before? I know, they seem to be universally beloved, but I don’t often shop in there, so I suppose I just don’t get tempted! Still, I was really pleased to get the chance to try out the Topshop Nail Polish in Hot Spot*, which was generously included in my #Oxmeet goody bag. Hot Spot is a really pretty mid-purple glitter which is the sort of thing that my pre-teen self would have adored… Continue reading

Review: Lush Full of Grace Facial Serum*

I’d never thought to add a serum to my skincare routine, let alone a solid serum, until I received this little wonder product in my #Oxmeet goody bag. I’ve been trialling the Lush Full of Grace Serum Bar for the last couple of weeks, and I really like it!  Continue reading

Review: Lush Rose Bubble Bar*

If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I love rose products, so I was thrilled to be given this cute little Rose bubble bar in my Lush #Oxmeet goody bag – and to be honest with you, I’ve already stocked up on a couple more! Continue reading

Review: The Body Shop Shea Body Whip*

Now, you know I’m not usually one for body lotions, so when a mere lotion can impress me, it’s gonna be a good one! I wouldn’t normally have picked up the Body Shop Shea Body Whip, so I’m glad I got a chance to try it thanks to my fabulous #Oxmeet goody bag! Continue reading

The Battle Of: The Beauty Boxes!

P1060028

So, I’ve never had a beauty subscription box before, although I’m sure I must be the only blogger not to get the thunk of goodies through the door every month! Luckily for me, the gorgeous people at Birchbox and Glossybox popped their March boxes into the #Oxmeet goody bags, and I got my first taste of the high-end sample world! I’ve decided to battle them out to see which one made its way into my heart (and maybe my budget)… A warning, this is a very long post! Continue reading

#OxMeet: An Oxford Beauty Blogger Meet-up! (and Haul!)

It’s taken me rather a while to get this post up, but last Sunday I was lucky enough to attend #OxMeet, a meet-up for Oxford-based bloggers. Organised by the amazing Adrienne of Late Night Nonsense, this was such a great opportunity to meet other lovely bloggers in the area, and we all had a fantastic day! I was a little lax on the photo-taking, but I’ll link you to all the other girls so you can see what went on!

(I’ve borrowed this picture from Kelly’s post, which has fab photos!)
