Review: W7 Deluxe Lipstick* and Rose Glow Blush*

Yes, another #Oxmeet post – this bag of goodies is never-ending! I am honestly overwhelmed with how generous all the companies who donated have been! In amongst all the other bits and bobs were two items from W7, which is not a brand I’d heard of before, but I’m very glad that I now have, because these pieces are really high-quality for such a budget brand. In my bag were this fabulous red Deluxe Lipstick (no sign of a shade name) and very pretty blush in Rose GlowContinue reading

Review: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon and Candy Apple

P1040990

Okay, so I know everyone who’s anyone has already got at least a hundred of these Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters – they were a huge deal for a while in the blogging world, but somehow I never picked any up. Well, that was a huge mistake, as it turns out. I bought a couple a few weeks ago, when I found myself with a surplus of Boots points, and I think these might just be my favourite lipsticks for Spring (when it eventually gets here). As you can see from the total state the packaging is in!

Review: Lush Emotional Brilliance, Decisive and Motivation

I spend a lot of time in Lush, and over time I’ve been tempted from the glittery bath side of the store to the more everyday items on the other side. Part of this was discovering their Emotional Brilliance range of make up – late to the party, I know – which I’d always dismissed as too expensive for something not very special. Boy was I wrong. Yes, it is expensive (£14.50 a colour), but the products are comparable to high end products, and well, well worth the money.

I currently own Decisive, a gorgeous red with very subtle pink shine, and Motivation, an intense shimmery teal blue. While Lush say you can use these colours as eyeliner, eyeshadow, cheek colour and lipstick, I play it completely safe, using Decisive as lipstick and Motivation as eyeliner (backed up by the fact that Decisive comes with a doe foot applicator, and Motivation with a little brush).
