June Empties!

It’s empties time again, and I’ve only got a small crop for you (well, at least by my usual standards). Shall we get going?

Haircare to start, and there’s a bottle of the usual, Herbal Essences Bee Strong conditioner, which you know that I love (review here), but I also went through a fair amount of other conditioner too! I like the Sainsbury’s Basics Conditioner for finishing off left over shampoo – it’s cheap and it does the job. There are no frills, but I like the plain clean smell, and when you go through as much conditioner as I do, the litre bottle is quite handy. I also changed things up a little and went for Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine conditioner, which is nice but not as weighty as the Bee Strong. 

Review: The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Eau de Toilette

When the weather started to get nicer, and I was still trapped inside revising, I couldn’t help but pick myself up a little treat to make me think of summer. I had already fallen in love with The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry range when I bought the shower gel, which I reviewed here. I loved it so much, I just had to get hold of the Early Harvest Raspberry Eau de Toilette, so I could smell like raspberries all the time!

Review: Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel*

Recently I’ve been trying out this cute little sample of Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel* from my #Oxmeet goody bag. This is such a cult product, and I was really excited to get a taste of the high-end skincare range. Unfortunately, this didn’t float my boat as much as I was hoping – but I suppose that’s good for my purse!

I was recently sent a sample of the Bee Good Honey and Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser to try, and oh, is it heading straight for Holy Grail status. You know how much I love honey scents and products, and this is a great addition to my skincare routine. Goodbye, Boots Botanics, I’m in love with the bees!

Review: Fake Don’t Bake Fake Natural Look Tanning Cream*

A fact for you: I am very, very pale.

When I was younger, I was totally nut-brown, but as I’ve grown up, I’ve had to accept that I’ve become a pale ghosty. I actually quite like it, but that doesn’t stop me experimenting from time to time with fake tan, to try and lose some of that Tippex glow on my legs.

It rarely works – so how did the Fake Don’t Bake Natural Tanning Cream* fare?

Review: W7 Deluxe Lipstick* and Rose Glow Blush*

Yes, another #Oxmeet post – this bag of goodies is never-ending! I am honestly overwhelmed with how generous all the companies who donated have been! In amongst all the other bits and bobs were two items from W7, which is not a brand I’d heard of before, but I’m very glad that I now have, because these pieces are really high-quality for such a budget brand. In my bag were this fabulous red Deluxe Lipstick (no sign of a shade name) and very pretty blush in Rose Glow. 

My Spring Skincare Routine!

Well, despite the occasion drop (flood) of rain, we’re well and truly out of winter, and it’s time to switch up my skincare routine a bit! My skin tends to be better the warmer the weather gets, plus I’ve discovered some fantastic new products that have made their way into the regular crowd on the bathroom shelf…

In the morning, I tend to favour slightly lighter products, while I keep a heftier moisturisation up in the evening, but still lighten things up a little.

Review: Caudalie Miel de Vigne Hand Cream* and Nourishing Body Lotion*

Just a quick little review for you today, of some lovely Caudalie bits that I was lucky enough to receive in my #Oxmeet goody bag. I know, I keep going on about #Oxmeet, but it was such an amazing day, and I’ve never seen such generosity from brands! I was particularly excited to get to try the Caudalie Miel de Vigne Hand and Nail Cream*, and the Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion*, because I’d heard so much about the brand on other people’s blogs. Suffice to say, I now understand what all the hype is about!
